These mounts hold the engine in place and are sometimes subject to significant mechanical and vibrational strains. Saint Jean Industries designs and manufactures this type of mount from cast iron, steel and aluminum.

Rotor and stator for retarders
Retarders are placed in the gear boxes of buses and heavy trucks. These parts are subject to high mechanical strains, with very slender areas of less than 1 mm, and require an excellent surface condition.

Manifolds are designed to vent exhaust gases from the engine, often at very high temperatures (850 to 1,050°C), hence the need to manufacture them from steel and obtain the best surface condition to ensure good gas flow.
